How do you feel after watching this video? Do you have a good life?
There are times when you look at life and think I can’t do this, I can’t do that and you keep concentrating on the things you wish you had or the things which you do not have and you sort of forget what you actually have. There is always a weird way of thinking where bright side to life revolve around Yesterday and tomorrow, but never today. Secret to happiness is living in present and cherishing each moment with whole heart.
2016 was very fruitful year for me, and I am thankful to God and many other people to make this year very fruitful for me. I have got into very good job, I bought a bike, I started this website and I travelled many good places, I gifted few good things to my family and I met some very motivational personalities. Of course there were many challenges and painful days but I strive to be forget the pain over a sleep and try to learn from challenges. There will always be ups and downs, hassles, complains and pains in our life, but there are also good days, happiness, moments of fun, pleasure and pride for which we can be thankful. Being thankful means, feeling blessed about the things you have and accomplishments you have made in your life. Apart from this momentous occasion, one can also be thankful every day for many small good things happening in our life. Well to be very true, I myself forget to thanks people sometimes, but thanks to my primary teacher and some colleagues at my office from whom I have learnt to say thank you for many small things. You can thank a chai guy for perfect chai which he served or an auto driver who guided you the path to some restaurant.
Being grateful for such small things will not cost you any money or time, but the benefits of it are plenty in numbers.

Research about gratitude:
Dr. Emmons is public speaker and author of some good books on gratitude including Thanks!, Gratitude works, Words of gratitude. He is studying the subject of gratitude since many years. In an experimental comparison of his studies, benefits were observed in the realm of personal goal attainment: Participants who kept gratitude lists were more likely to have made progress toward important personal goals (academic, interpersonal and health-based) over a two-month period compared to subjects in the other experimental conditions. Also the participants in the daily gratitude condition were more likely to report having helped someone with a personal problem or having offered emotional support to another. One of the things his studies show is that practicing gratitude can increase happiness levels by around 25%.
“To say we feel grateful is not to say that everything in our lives is necessarily great. It just means we are aware of our blessings.” – Dr. Robert Emmons
Every one of us gets many opportunities to thank God, family members, office colleagues, friends, relatives and few good strangers in our life. Use that opportunity for the benefit of yourselves and stay grateful to everyone you meet and every moment you live.
